Currently, the opportunities to build capacity of young Syrian women established in Turkey are limited. This concerns in particular young educated women based in Turkey who could potentially play a role in increasing Syrian women’s participation in civic and political issues. To address this, İNSURYA is laying the ground for an upcoming strategic project aimed at empowering Syrian women to contribute to political and civil public affairs. This pilot phase aims at designing a strategic project that will reflect the needs of the target groups and the complementarity with existing initiatives based on the cooperation with other CSOs. Based on this, the organisation aims at providing a full-fledged training programme for a group of around 25 trainees and contribute to the establishment of a Syrian women’s movement.
